The Nineveh Office of Shams participates in the electronic lottery to select 27 thousand employees of the elections between 50 thousand Applicants
Following an Invitation by the Nineveh Office of IHEC the Coordinator and members of the network of Nineveh office of Shams participated in a process of drawing lots to select ballot staff for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives. The process underwent in the Hall of the International Hotel in Mosul, Nineveh. The process depends on modern electronic methods which are used for the first time Nineveh province. The lottery implemented through a rigorous pre-computer to gain access to the best international standards in the selection of  717  staff of polling centers in the province and the selection process was transparent and with the participation of a crowd of representatives of political entities and civil society organizations, as well as the media. The lottery process was conducted without bias to any political component. The lottery was overseen by a  delegation chosen from the National Office and attended by Mr. Saad Al-Abdali Deputy Head of Supreme Committee for the selection of polling staff, who oversaw the voting process. The process resulted in choosing 27 thousand employees to work for the elections at polling stations from more than 50 thousand applicants. The process was implemented through an electronic program that has been prepared jointly with IFES. The coordinator and members of Shams has overseen the process of the electronic lottery process. The co-coordinator and members of Shams participated in conducting the lottery. The former had multiple interviews with a number of channels, including al-Sumaria, Masar, and Baghdad, Mosllia, Al-Rashid concerning the activities of the network in the next phase.
