Coordinator and members of Shams in Nineveh Meet Iraqi Islamic Party in Mosul

As part of the activities of Shams in Nineveh province, and in another visit to political parties the Coordinator and a number of members of the Office of Nineveh of Shams visited Iraqi Islamic Party headquarters and met with members of the office administrator and members of the electoral campaigns of the list of the Iraqi Accordance also attended the meeting in addition to officials of the Observers of the Islamic Party.
Official at the party expressed their interests in Shams activities. Mr. Nineveh Yasser Hamdani, Shams coordinator, presented a detailed briefing on the work of the network and the new project for the network, which will be implemented in the next election.
For his part Mr. Hassan Al-Allaf, an official of the Iraqi Islamic Party, said that the preparatory committee for election campaigns and the Commission for preparing monitors are facing several problems like not knowing upfront the location of polling stations and the problem is the voice of the other observers. Adding that observers of the party are not allowed to vote in the centers that they observe in. He further noted that the observers of the Islamic Parties are not monitoring in areas that are close to their place of inhabitants due to security reasons. This is creating problems for the observers in voting on time.
The Islamic Party official asked that Shams should transfer their demand for their observers to vote in the same polling stations that they observe in IHEC.
The official of the party raised another problem related to the badges of the automobiles working in the day of the election and expressed his hope that IHEC prepare badges for those automobiles few days before the date of the election.
For his part, the director of the Observers Commission in the Iraqi Islamic Party presented a detailed briefing on preparations for the party to train more than 4000. On his part, the coordinator and members of Shams expressed the need for the political parties to understand the work of the Network toward the observers and non-interference in their work in the monitoring process to ensure the integrity of the elections.
