تهدف شبكة الانتخابات في العالم العربي منذ تأسيسها عام 2006 من خلال مراقبتها للإنتخابات في الدول العربية إلى تعزيز الديمقراطية واحترام حقوق الإنسان وسيادة القانون، كما تهدف، أيضاً، إلى تشجيع المشاركة الشعبية في العملية الانتخابية وتطوير النظم الانتخابية لضمان إجراء انتخابات حرة ونزيهة تجسيدا لمبدأ الشعب مصدر السلطات.
