ضمن نشاطات مشروع الديمقراطية والشفافية / تمكين المشاركة الوطنية وحرية الإعلام، وبدعم من الاتحاد الأوروبي باتنفيذ شبكة الشمس و منظمة الحسنى الخيرية بالشراكة مع مساعدات الشعب النرويجية (NPA)، نُفذ منتدى التوعية الانتخابية الخاص بذوي الإعاقة والأقليات في محافظة الأنبار. شارك في المنتدى أكثر من 51 شخصاً من ذوي الإعاقة، بالإضافة إلى حضور الدكتور باسم، مسؤول مكتب ذوي الإعاقة في الأنبار. وتضمن المنتدى تقديم شرح وافٍ للإطار القانوني للانتخابات، لاسيما قانون انتخابات مجلس النواب العراقي، مع تسليط الضوء على أهمية الانتخابات ودورها في تعزيز المسار الديمقراطي. كما تم توضيح إجراءات تحديث سجل الناخبين، وآلية التعامل مع أوراق ومراكز الاقتراع.وتخلل المنتدى نقاش مفتوح حول دور ذوي الإعاقة والأقليات في العملية الانتخابية، وأهمية العمل على تشجيع الناخبين من هذه الفئات على المشاركة الفاعلة، بما يسهم في بناء مجتمع أكثر شمولاً وعدلاً.
