تقدم شبكة شمس لمراقبة الانتخابات في العراق تقريرها الأولي عن حملة الدعاية الانتخابية ضمن سلسلة تقاريرها لمتابعة العملية الانتخابية وهذا التقرير هو التقرير الخاص لمراقبة الحملة الانتخابية في انتخابات مجلس النواب العراقي .
وكانت شبكة شمس لمراقبة الانتخابات في العراق قد أصدرت بياناً أكدت فيه أنها سوف تراقب سير العملية الانتخابية في كل مراحلها، بدءأ من مرحلة ما قبل الانتخابات مع بدء حملة الدعاية الانتخابية، ومن ثم مراقبة التصويت في الخارج بالتعاون مع شبكة الانتخابات في العالم العربي والتصويت الخاص والعام واعلان النتائج.
بدأ المرصد الإعلامي للشبكة من 14 نيسان الى 10 أيار 2018 بمراقبة الحملة الدعائية التي تسبق العملية الانتخابية المقرر إجراؤها في 12/5/2018.
وشمل الرصد 19 قناة تلفزيونية و8 إذاعات و5 صحف الكترونية و 10 صحف بعضها مستقلة والأخرى تابعة للكيانات المتنافسة في انتخابات مجالس النواب العراقي في كافة المحافظات العراقية.
هذا فضلا عن مراقبة إعلاميي تحالف للقنوات والصحف المحلية والدعايات عن طريق الملصقات واللافتات في محافظاتهم و وسائل تواصل الاجتماعي بالاخص (فيس بوك ، تويتر ، يوتيوب ) .
وقد شارك في عملية الرصد 35 صحفيا وإعلامياً حول كيفية رصد الخروقات الإعلامية التي تخالف قوانين المفوضية و نظام الحملات الانتخابية رقم (11) لسنة 2018.
وهذا التقرير الأولي هو جزء من التقرير النهائي الذي سيصدر في وقت لاحق متضمنا كل التفاصيل والوثائق المتعلقة بعملية الرصد.
